Here at Datum we try to give back to our community through initiatives that make a difference on the impact of our planet. Some of the initiatives we are involved in make a difference to our local community and some to the global community. Everything we try to do here works inline with our sustainability values and processes. Below you can see some of the activities we are involved in to help give back to our planet.

Our sensors are planting trees

One way we are battling climate change is by taking part in the Ecologi scheme. Ecologi help businesses and everyday people lower their impact on the planet by supporting  projects on a monthly basis that benefit the environment. With this in mind we have decided that for every standard sensor we sell we will plant a tree in our Ecologi forest helping projects across the globe. We have just started over the last 2 months and our forest is already growing.

Datum photos to power charities

Each Month Datum Electronics ask for photos from our suppliers and customers so we can see you benefiting from our products. Every month we choose the best photo and that business or customer wins the opportunity to give a £50 donation from datum to one of the below charities. Giving back to charities within the marine sector.

Mince pies make a difference

This year we have taken part in Brightbulb Design’s Mince Pie Marathon. The initiative helps raise much needed money and support for an Isle of Wight charity called the Wight Brainy Bunch. The charity helps families affected by brain tumours, a much underfunded area of the NHS. We are proud to be on the leaderboard and helping to make a difference to a small local charity. Like1:46 pm
