Mark Drew’s Bio
Mark brings over 30 years of offshore and maritime industry experience to his role as Quality Manager at Datum Electronics. With a background in marine operations and engineering, he ensures our quality systems meet the highest standards of compliance, efficiency, and reliability.
As a former seafarer, Mark applies a practical and proportionate approach to quality management, shaped by first-hand experience at sea. He is passionate about continuous improvement and delivering real-world solutions for complex technical challenges.

When I am in the building
As Customer Operations Supervisor my role is to ensure that customers receive high quality service and communication throughout the order process, and post-sale support. Any updates or further information required for your order I’m the person for the job! Contact me directly with any queries.
When I am out of the building
I enjoy walking my dog Deena, cooking different cuisines and making my garden look beautiful. I am always on YouTube trying to learn new DIY skills to renovate my house. I like to travel and see different parts of the world and immerse myself in the culture. Art is also a passion of mine often visiting popular exhibitions and have qualifications in photography, fine art, and print design.

Dave Bone’s Bio
As Senior Support Engineer, Dave Bone spends most of his time away from the office, performing shaft power meter installations worldwide.
Dave joined us in 2014 as a contractor but with an increasing demand in Datum Shaft Power Meters, he moved onto a full-time role in 2018. He has successfully installed hundreds of solutions on vessels worldwide and carries a wealth of knowledge and experience in the installation of our high accuracy torque transducers, strain gauges and predictive maintenance solutions.
When he’s not travelling the world, Dave can be found online, assisting remote installations and providing training to customers across the world.
