Together with our new Greek partners, Abacus Marine Consultants, we will attend Posidonia for the first time in 2018. Held from 4th till 8th of June in Athens, Greece, Posidonia has evolved into one of the most prestigious shipping events in the world.

Bringing together shipping professionals from all over the world, the exhibition is focused on latest innovations in the marine market and services, related to the shipping industry. This year Posidonia is expecting over 22,000 visitors and almost 2,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries. In response to the safety and environmental challenges in the marine industry, international marine experts from all over the world are believed to showcase new technologies and ground-breaking equipment, aimed at improving fuel efficiency and reducing operational costs.

Datum Electronics, the world-leading shaft power measurement specialist, will demonstrate our market-leading, fully modular shaft power meter systems, designed specifically to help ship owners and operators calculate and improve their vessel’s fuel efficiency ($ per kW of power), in a range of operating conditions.
Malcolm Habens, Managing Director of Datum Electronics commented: “Posidonia is an excellent opportunity for us to meet leading shipping professionals, forge new partnerships and meet existing, as well as potential clients in the maritime industry. We’re looking forward to attending this major event in the shipping calendar, and helping to transform shipping to become a greener, more efficient industry.”
Our marine shaft power meter systems measure propulsion, torque, power, rpm and thrust (optional), to ensure optimum performance is maintained throughout the lifecycle of a vessel. Using highly accurate & reliable strain gauge technology, combined with cutting-edge electronics, our system has an accuracy of 0.1%. Our technology, along with our expertise in dynamic sampling of strain gauges, enable us to unlock a significant amount of information about the performance of the Engine & Propulsion Shaft and Propeller. Additionally, we will soon release our newly patented product, Diesel Hawk, which is ideal for Condition Monitoring & Preventative Maintenance.
