For most of us, Christmas is the most wonderful part of the year, especially for our children, even better than birthdays. Chocolate is everywhere, festive lights are aglow, AND you are allowed to listen to Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé without being judged and there’s even a very slight chance of snow, on the Isle of Wight. Last, but not least are the presents waiting for our children, and us, under the tree on Christmas morning. Seeing your children and Grandchildren unwrap their first present and, let’s face it, not even remembering what was inside it by the time they’ve finished, sitting amongst the boxes and wrapping paper, can appear simply perfect!

Sadly, not everyone is lucky enough to enjoy the wonders of a perfect Christmas. There are hundreds of families and kids unable to enjoy that feeling of joy and magic over the festive period. The Isle of Wight Toy Appeal is an official charity that provides toys for less fortunate children, living on the Isle of Wight. All donated toys are wrapped by the IOW Christmas Toy Appeal volunteers, who then distribute them among those who need them most.

Datum Electronics’ are supporting this great cause again this year, by donating new toys for children aged 0-16. to the drop off point at the Isle of Wight Radio, to ensure more children can unwrap their presents on Christmas morning.

Christmas is a period of giving and here at Datum, we’d like to help those less fortunate kids by bringing them some joy at Christmas.

If you’d like to help Island children, who aren’t able to enjoy the same Christmas as you or, please visit the Isle of Wight Toy Appeal’s website and choose a drop off location closest to you.
