Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency has approved Datum Electronics for an innovation grant for their intelligent marine engines health assessment system. The solution helps keep marine engines healthy by providing ultrafast sampling of highly accurate sensors, resulting in millions of events being analysed at sea. From this data an algorithm is formulated which allows Datum to predict potential issues with the marine engine using dynamic torque profiling to compare performance with the manufacturers baseline. The result? Innovative, predictive maintenance and pro-active condition-based monitoring solution.

Innovate UK drives productivity and economic growth by supporting businesses to develop and realise the potential of new ideas. They connect businesses to the partners, customers and investors that can help them turn ideas into commercially successful products and services and business growth.
